Lastly, finished steel products are produced through steel re-rolling mills. There are approximately 333 DRI plants, 55 EAFs, 1103 IFs, and 1313 Steel-rerolling mills scattered across the country. The DRI process accounts for about 30 MTCO 2 emissions annually, while the IFs and EAFs emit 13.4 MTCO 2 and 0.1 MTCO 2, respectively.
